Crystal Palace Sign Anan Khalaili on Long-Term Deal

Crystal Palace have moved decisively in the market, sealing the signing of Israel international Anan Khalaili on a long-term deal running until 2031.

The Eagles are understood to have paid around £21m for the 21-year-old, a modern hybrid who can operate both as a full-back and as a winger. It is a significant outlay, and a clear statement of faith in a player whose reputation has risen sharply over the past year.

Khalaili arrives from Union Saint-Gilloise, where his impact was immediate. Since joining the Belgian side in 2024, he played his part in a historic season as Union ended a 90-year wait for the Belgian Pro League title and added a Belgian Cup to complete a remarkable double.

That success in Belgium came with a taste of the elite stage. Khalaili scored three of his six goals last season in the Champions League, giving him the kind of European experience Palace will lean on as they step into their own Europa League campaign.

"I have followed the Premier League for a long time, it's a new challenge for me," Khalaili said as the move was confirmed. "And Crystal Palace I like, because I have followed them for a long time. They have deserved to win three trophies and I want to do more."

For Pierre Sage, it is another key piece in a squad being reshaped with ambition. Khalaili becomes the fifth addition to his side this window, and with a contract that stretches deep into the next decade, Palace are backing the young Israeli to grow with the club as they chase silverware rather than simply survival.
