Carabao Cup Fourth-Round Draw Date and Details

The Carabao Cup is starting to tighten. The early clutter has gone, the European contenders are in, and just 16 teams are left chasing a place in the quarter-finals of English football’s secondary cup competition.

With no regionalisation and no seeding tricks, the fourth-round draw has the potential to throw heavyweights together and blow the competition wide open in one swoop.

Here’s how it all unfolds.

When is the Carabao Cup fourth-round draw?

The fourth-round draw will be made on Wednesday 16 September, straight after the Round Three tie between Manchester United and Brighton.

That match kicks off at 8pm BST, so expect the draw to take place some time after 10pm BST, once events at Old Trafford are wrapped up.

How can you watch it?

Sky Sports will show the draw live.

Pien Meulensteen will present the coverage, with Jamie Redknapp and Ashley Young overseeing the draw itself as the final 16 are paired off.

What about the ball numbers?

The EFL will confirm the ball numbers on Wednesday morning. Those details will be released across the EFL’s official channels ahead of the draw.

When will the fourth round be played?

Fourth-round ties are scheduled for the week commencing 26 October and will be single-legged, straight knockout affairs.

One game, one shot at the last eight.
