Nothing is ever entirely simple with Bruno Fernandes.

He is into the final year of his Manchester United contract – with the club holding an option to tack on another 12 months – and interest has inevitably circled. Galatasaray and others in Europe have looked his way, but he is not leaving this window. That much is clear. That title now belongs to Marcus Rashford. On current evidence, Fernandes could fairly argue it should be his.
