Arsenal Pursues Endrick as Martinelli Departure Looms

Arsenal have gone back in for Endrick.

Real Madrid’s hierarchy have received fresh contact from the Premier League champions this week, with Arsenal again asking about the Brazilian forward’s situation as they hunt for attacking reinforcements.

The London club are bracing for the imminent departure of Gabriel Martinelli and have turned once more to one of Europe’s most coveted young strikers. Endrick, 20, is back at Valdebebas after a highly productive loan spell at Lyon, where his form only sharpened interest across the continent and intensified the debate inside Madrid over his next step.

For much of the summer, another loan seemed a realistic possibility. Real Madrid had weighed up letting him leave temporarily to guarantee minutes, and talk of a second move away from the Spanish capital gathered pace.

Then José Mourinho stepped in.

The new Madrid coach has publicly shut the door on any exit before the transfer window closes, insisting his young goalscorer will stay put. His stance has not killed the rumours, but it has made the negotiating table a far more hostile place for suitors.

Arsenal are testing it anyway.

According to TEAMtalk, Real Madrid sources have confirmed that the Gunners have “made fresh enquiries” and “renewed their interest” in the former Palmeiras prodigy. It is not the first time the two clubs have discussed his name.

During previous talks between the Emirates hierarchy and their Bernabéu counterparts over a deal involving Vinícius Jr, Arsenal also raised Endrick’s availability. Those conversations did not lead to a move, yet the North London club have clearly refused to let the idea go.

They want a prodigious centre-forward. Real Madrid believe they already have one. How long can that tension hold?
