Chelsea, meanwhile, have already chalked up another signing. Pep Chavarria has been officially unveiled as the club’s ninth arrival of the summer.

“There are a lot of people who have helped me get to this moment and I have to thank my family. They have always supported me and today is only possible because of them.”

Behind the scenes, Chelsea believe Manchester City are monitoring Enzo Fernandez, adding another layer of intrigue to a squad that has already been heavily reshaped.

Tottenham brace for exits as Barcelona eye Porro

Tottenham’s window feels like a balancing act. On one side of the scale sit Cody Gakpo and Savinho, both high on their attacking wishlist. On the other, a series of potential departures that could reshape the squad overnight.
