Amankwah Forson Joins Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Loan

Amankwah Forson has left Norwich City for a season-long loan spell with Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva, handing the Ghana international a European stage to sharpen his game.

The 23-year-old only arrived at Carrow Road in 2024, signing a four-year deal from Austrian club RB Salzburg, but now heads to a team with serious continental ambitions. Hapoel Be'er Sheva, six-time champions of Israel, have booked their place in the league phase of this season's Europa League.

Forson has already built a decent body of work in Norfolk. He has made 44 appearances for Norwich in all competitions, scoring four goals and offering flashes of the drive and versatility that persuaded the club to bring him over from Austria.

Now he steps into a group preparing to face heavyweight opposition. Hapoel Be'er Sheva are set for Europa League meetings with Juventus, AFC Bournemouth and Besiktas — a demanding schedule and a sharp test of Forson’s credentials at a higher level.
